Overview

Overall the Swing Trading Alert service is a strong option for those wanting an efficient time-saving service that identifies longer-term swing trading setups and alerts. One of the favorite aspects is that this is a legitimate swing trading program. Unlike many other services who sell swing trading but default to day or very short-term swings to try and boost their performance, and account for market volatility, this service holds long-term and has a strong track record in doing so, as can be seen by the live results. Many trades in the P&L have been live for many months and are up huge in 2X - 10X realm.

Effectiveness

Price

The price is a very standard $99 that appears to be the de-facto pricing strategy for the trading chatroom. Considering you get the Discord, weekly emails, weekly video updates, and 2 X moderators with quite different styles and strategies this is decent value. A little additional on market timing and outlook would be a welcome addition. To make this great value we would like to see some education included, you can have a paid program but should include insight into how to get the best success with the trading styles/strategies used for the alerts. The education is lacking, this is purely a trade service, education is a separate service that comes with an additional cost. We do favor having some level of education and insight into the strategy that is used to find, enter, managed, and exit trades. This is essential, not knowing these details is risky, if something happens the service goes down for example.

Real-life Performance

During the time with Spartan I took 17 of the advised swing trades, the vast majority given during the time, with 12 winners (including some that are still unrealized) and 5 losers with a total P&L of $4,758. I very solid overall result, and putting the result in the top 5 of all services tested for with the live trading account. One caveat is that like with all swing trading the market is condition is crucial to success and during this time it was a sustained grinder higer.

Support

Our favorite was the results and transparency. The communication is managed in a Discord room and both moderators regularly add their portfolio and tracking via excels sheets to the room. There are weekly videos and active conversations with the room.

Both moderators are very active, and respond to customer questions. I did hear that the group actively support customer with mentoring via email even phone, we did not test any of this but when cancelling we did get communication asking if anything was wrong that could be improved, and we got a quick response to our feedback. As such oru view is that the moderators are active, and care about their service and support.

Risk Management

One call-out is that during the time we evaluated the service the market was in a consistent grind higher, in addition, the previous months about as long as the Spartan open trade record shows data from, the market has rewarded swing trading handsomely. As such we did not get to kick the risk management tires, we did see some risk management by adding short-term calls on volatility on a couple of occasions. However, do expect that if a significant downdraft happened in the market, the portfolio would take a heavy hit, especially due to the number of open positions. But then again, isn’t this true for most swing trading portfolios. Advice: like with all swing trading services make sure you evaluate market positioning and trends and decide which trades to add, don’t jump in and add all positions as you inherit all the risk without the benefit of longer gains as a cushion.
