Price

The price is on the higher end subscription services for the full Pro service. But comes with a lot of value. The main room is hosted in a Discord server. The Discord channel is continually active with users and moderators who posts a lot of content each day.

So, what do you get for the price:

The Trendy Pro service comes with the following:

Live day trading webinar most days, this is shared via a screens link, the webinar contains market updates, trade plans for the day and of course live trading for the first 2 hours of the cash session.

Daily focus and daily trade plans – these two services are the ones we made most use of. Each day several trades (roughly between 3 and 10) are posted across these two channels. Often these aligned with our personal watchlist, and or other services, and can be considered strong setups for stock in play. Trendy Trade Setups comes with the Daily Focus and Trade Setups and represent good value at $59 if you do not have system to find your own in-play stocks. Note: we did not use the Trendy Trade setups using the Trendy method, just use the charts without own method, knowing the Trendy added further weight to our analysis.

The core part of the service is via the Trendy Updates, Live Alerts and Complex Options. There is an API connection between the moderators Think or Swim platform, so trades show up quickly and offer among the best transparency we have seen from any trading service.  Despite the transparency and real-time nature of these trades we did not use this option often, as it did not suit our style. The approach and style are suited to day-trader sat in front of the screen all day, trades are constantly managed with trims, adds, stops and taking profit. Whilst not our style, if you have smaller account and lots of time, and do not have your own style/strategy this could be solid way to build some equity with minimal risk. Note: despite following multiple services for years, in our experience it is incredibly difficult to be consistently profitable following another person’s trades. This is one of our core issues with this service overall and will be covered later in the review.

Member chatrooms: these are mostly social with some news and trading insight but mainly casual market discussions.

Broad Market: a weekly half hour video on the broad market.

In addition, there is a futures charts room and long-term trades that have a few charts posted.

Effectiveness

The top-line view is that the room did not suit our trading style due to the following:

1) Trendy Pro is much more suited to active day-traders, as discussed in most review our approach is swing trading both term, medium and long term.  This is the reason we did not take too many trades.

2) Trades are based a proprietary strategy that cannot be replicated without buying the specific indicators (+$1200). Our preference is the philosophy of teach a man to fish, vs giving him fish, this is a bit more of a give the man fish type of offering. Our view is that using a methodology you do not fully understand is risky at best, as such the longer term swing trades from the Trendy Trade setups, were executed with personal preference & style as opposed to clear alerts, so we do not include these trades in the official real-life trade evaluation.

With the official alerts the moderator connected Discord to the Think or Swim, so you see all the trades in real-time, whilst this is market-leading for transparency it can be complex and a hard to follow, requiring constant monitoring and activity throughout the day. Yet, (advice)  this is effective trading, whilst we prefer simpler trading alerts such as Entry, Stop, Target, this type of visibility can be good for beginners as it teaches how to manage trades, this type of approach especially in volatile markets is how to be profitable. Good setups are only the trade, active trade management and risk management is the key to profitability.

Despite us not taking and including the Trendy Trade Setup (swing), we do believe these offers strong value at $59pm. If you are looking for a fresh crop of setups that save time with research this service is worth checking out.

Real Life Performance

Despite the decent length of time on the service, we only took 21 trades.

Education

There is a significant amount of content that is high quality and valuable. However, a major drawback for us is that it is all based on a proprietary range of indictors. It is hard to properly understand and follow the setups without having access to the indicators that the trading setups are based on. You can purchase the indicators, but that is a further $1,200. A significant sum for a new trader.

However, despite the trading system focus, there are good lessons to be found in this service. If you look beyond the content that is shown, what you will find is a methodology to be a successful trader. Learn and absorb the process, commitment and focus of the Trendy Trading room. Weekly market analysis, with daily plans, trades that follow broad market analysis and the daily focus plans, and even when trades are executed the majority are scaled into, and then consistently trimmed, taking profit as it is given. The level of work and professionalism shown by the lead trader is what it takes to be successful. If you do not like the strategy or method, and you just take note of the process that goes into researching, finding, entering, managing and exiting trades and wort ethic you will be on a much faster trajectory to success.

Support

In full disclosure we did not use the support function, however the discord room is always busy, and the moderator is active and appear to be attentive to subscribers needs.

Risk Management

The services follow a solid methodology for finding, stalking, and entering trades, the first level of risk management. Once trades are executed, they follow consistent risk management, nearly every trade is scaled into and as scaled out of. The room make use to spreads and other complex option strategies to limit risk, so ensure you have the knowledge and ability to trade options and spread to make full use to the Trendy Pro service.

Summary

Overall a great option. Our recommendation is that new traders without their own strategy and methodology will do very well with the Trendy Pro membership, even if you do not end up adopting the strategy but absorb the process applied to finding trades, managing risk, scaling in and out would be well worth the cost of 3 months of membership. For an experienced trader, or swing trader, the Trendy Trade Plans are a good option for $59 a month, it is a relatively low cost, and provides several fresh daily trade options. Personally, I do not think it does enough to outshine Hidden Pivot’s service (see link) on its own, but this will come down to personal preference and style, it is close. We recommend testing both if looking for a service that saves time on research and finding setups.
